We offer free 30 minutes consultation over the phone to discuss what your care needs are and how Homecare Happiness may help meet those needs.
We provide many nursing services including:
Foot care
Medication administration (oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous)
Foley catheter services
Continence management
Wound and ostomy care/consult (simple to moderate complexity only)
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (such as shower assist)
Also: Light housekeeping, meal prepping, grocery assist, respite, companionship, and of course providing you with education, community resources, referral to appropriate services as needed, and helping you navigate our complex health care. Our services are tailored to your own unique care needs.
At this time, we only assist and provide guidance to clients and family on how to navigate palliative care in Burnaby and New Westminster. Also, we don’t provide pediatric care, ventilator care, and G-tube feed services.

Foot Care
We provide comprehensive foot care services. The service includes:
- Interview and history taking.
- Assessment of the feet and nail, ambulation, environment, foot wear, skin condition, circulation, cutting and filing nails, removing/reducing corns and calluses.
- Education through sharing assessment, and talking about prevention/management.
According to the Lower mainland Foot Care Nurses Association – “Foot care nurses treat a client by cutting and filing nails, reducing corns and calluses non- invasively within our scope of practice. Provide education to clients so they can improve their own foot care to prevent pain and complications (includes assessment of foot wear, aids etc). Refer client to relevant healthcare specialties.”

Activities of Daily Living
or ADLs for short are basic self care tasks that are extremely important to maintain independence. Often, if you find it challenging or unable to perform one of these tasks, you likely needs some form of assistance. Homecare Happiness focuses on 6 ADLs and these are: Bathing, Transferring from one surface to another, Toileting, Mobilizing (moving from one place to another), Dressing and Eating to help you stay independent, healthy and clean.
